The only firm date that we have for N. is that of the first publication of his treatise De treuga et pace (TUI 1584, t. 11.1), Venezia, 1570. The note to the reader in that work is dated in 1569, a fairly clear indication that M. was alive at the time. That he came from Gualdo Tadino is clear from his self-description as ‘patricius Gualdensis’. |
