Hieronymus de Luca |
c. 1483–1543 |
|
Alternative Names |
Hieronymus Lucensis; Girolamo Amadei; Girolamo Amidei |
Biography/Description |
H. was trained as a theologian and not as a lawyer. He was a member of the Servite order (O.S.M.), and spent a considerable amount of his life working for the reform of his order. As a writer, he had a taste for controversy. His only known legal work, the De cambiis (TUI 1584 t. 6.1), defends the inherent legitimacy of the cambio against those who had argued to the contrary. |
