Biography/Description |
A decretal collection compiled by Johannes Teutonicus at Bologna in 1216. It is an odd compilation in that it contained decretals from Innocent III as well as the Constitutions of the Fourth Lateran Council. It thus was in part a duplication. Only the compiler, Johannes Teutonicus, ever glossed Compilatio quarta. Johannes brought the collection to Pope Innocent III and he went away angry. Stephan Kuttner has asserted that he sought the same sort of authentication for his decretal compilation that was given to Petrus Beneventanus’ Compilatio tertia. |
